About this policy
This policy describes how MvM handles information when you browse, use a guest or registered account, and use shopping features. For questions about the website operator or your information, use the contact details below.
Information we handle
Account information can include your name, email address, password hash, linked sign-in identifier, currency and time preferences. Guest activity is associated with a session rather than a registered email address.
Shopping information can include your bag, saved products, orders, delivery details, account-credit activity and content you submit, such as reviews, uploads and assistant messages. Searches and interests are recorded for recommendations when personalization is enabled. Technical and security records can include session identifiers, connection IP addresses and audit events. Do not submit payment-card information.
How information is used
Information is used to operate accounts and shopping features, retain order and credit history, apply your preferences, respond to enquiries, moderate submitted content and protect the service. Where configured, transactional email supports account and order communications. Personalization uses opted-in activity to recommend products.
Cookies and browser storage
Session cookies maintain guest or signed-in access and support security checks. Browser storage retains preferences such as appearance and a location label. A saved location may be reused across tabs and visits until changed or cleared. Clearing site data removes browser-held preferences and may end access to a guest session; it does not itself delete records held by the server.
External services
If you choose Google sign-in, Google receives the authentication request and supplies your verified email, name and account identifier. The identifier links your account. We do not receive your Google password or retain Google's access tokens.
If no location is saved, the server may send your connection IP to IP2Location for an approximate city lookup. Successful results are cached in the server session for 24 hours. If this fails, browser location may be used with your permission: coordinates rounded to two decimal places are sent to BigDataCloud, which also receives your IP address. A failed IP lookup is not automatically retried in that browser for 24 hours. The location label does not change your delivery address, and precise device coordinates are not stored by this feature.
Externally hosted images and enabled integrations can receive connection information when requested. Hosting, configured email delivery and other enabled service providers process the information needed for their functions. Their handling of information is also subject to their own privacy terms.
Retention and account closure
Information is retained while needed for account functions, service operations and security. Search-history and inactive-guest cleanup depend on configured retention periods and maintenance jobs.
Account closure ends access and redacts contact and delivery details while withdrawing supported shared content. Pseudonymous order, credit-ledger, moderation and audit records are retained. Linked Google identifiers may remain associated with closed accounts to prevent reuse. Clearing recommendation history does not erase orders, accounting records or all technical logs.
Your choices and requests
In Privacy settings you can change personalization, clear saved searches and interests, or request account closure where available. Clearing history also turns personalization off. Edit the location field or clear site data to remove a browser-held location. Contact the operator about access, correction, deletion or other requests concerning your information. Available rights and any identity checks or retention exceptions depend on applicable law and the information involved.
